On searching for my wedding rings, I found that I was drawn to pre-loved rings. I was intrigued with the mystery of their previous life and also the ethos of re-purposing. I was after something unique and bold without being super expensive. And so the treasure hunt began…
Curating treasures to have and to hold, from antique & vintage to modern and everything in between. A DG jewel is something a little unusual and maybe a little bit quirky, something unique, something that may call to you. We are about re-loving, pre-loved mementos of glamour, indulgence & love, for whatever occasion.
We hunt these tiny pieces of intricate art from around the world, so you can pave the next chapter of their history. I admit it has become a bit of a glorious obsession.
Humankind has been fascinated with decoration and sparkle since the beginning of time. It knows no geographical or cultural bounds. Trophies from the hunter gathers, shells, stones, scarab beetles, pottery, glass, pebbles & crystals, gemstones & diamonds, silver & gold, all used as decorative pieces to adorn us. The significance of glittery adornment steeped in personal meaning, hasn’t eroded over time.
Amulet’s were worn as a form of protection, perhaps a necklace of sorts, believed to hold power to ward off negative energy or illness. Talisman’s were used as a good luck charm, an object thought to possess magical powers and bring good luck. A romantic notion that we may still hold strong.
